Garden School Fundraiser
School gardens are great laboratories for learning about science, math and nutrition! When kids dig in dirt, plant seeds, harvest and eat vegetables they planted, the concepts they learn really stay with them.
Garden School is hands-on school garden education provided by the non-profit Grow Portland. Kids at participating schools get classes in their school garden every month. The lessons are linked to Next Generation standards.
This program keeps school gardens vibrant and productive throughout the school year, and the vegetables not eaten in class go to school pantries or home with kids.
Fundraising for this program is a collaborative effort between Grow Portland and partner schools. Grow Portland raises funds to keep this program affordable to schools, but participating schools are asked to invest in this program each year.
Our goal is to raise $8,000 for garden school by March! All donations are tax deductible and will be credited to the school you choose. Share this link with grandparents and neighbors and anyone who benefits from the blossoming of young minds!
