About Putsata

Putsata Reang is an award-winning journalist and author of the true crime book, "Deadly Secrets," (HarperCollins Inc. 2001). After graduating with degrees in journalism and English literature from the University of Oregon, she began a journalism career that spans more than 20 years, and across more than a dozen countries. She has worked with journalists in conflict and post-conflict zones, including Cambodia, Afghanistan and Bangladesh, to train local  reporters in investigative and political reporting. In 2005, she was awarded an Alicia Patterson Journalism Fellowship, which allowed her to return to her homeland, Cambodia, where she began telling some of her own country's tales. She is currently at work on a memoir.
