Grow Portland is an entrepreneurial nonprofit organization dedicated to the expansion of urban gardening and urban agriculture in the Portland metro area. To grow healthy food, the organization uses a simple, powerful approach: connect diverse populations with knowledge, supplies and land.

CORE OBJECTIVES

OUR PROGRAMS

Grass Roots – Community Gardens Program:
We are working with community organizations and private land owners to build and manage community gardens.

Urban Agriculture Program:
We provide urban farmers and market gardeners with land and training. Urban Agriculture Teams receive training to grow food in groups.

Growers Alliance:
We are creating a marketing and distribution network for new and disadvantages growers to improve income from produce sales.

Fruit Tree Initiative:
Helps homeowners, schools, and nonprofits plant, and care for trees.

Grow Portland Garden School:
Provides garden education for diverse audiences on a range of topics. Our demonstration site is located on North Mississippi Avenue.

Grow Portland Supplies:
We provide special values on quality garden supplies by buying in bulk. Our Seed Club provides the best organic varieties for the best price around.
